The River School day runs from 8:45am to 2:45pm, offering a balanced rhythm of learning, play, creativity and connection. Each day is designed to support curiosity, wellbeing and meaningful engagement, both indoors and outdoors.
Morning supervision is available on the school oval from 8:15am, with students moving to their classrooms from 8:30am.
For the safety of our community, all visitors to The River School, including parents and carers, are asked to sign in at the Visitor Book located outside the school office when remaining on school grounds. This requirement does not apply to brief drop-offs and pick-ups.
The River School operates a school bus service for enrolled students, supporting families across the region. The bus services the following areas:
Palmview
Glenview
Mooloolah Valley
Landsborough
Maleny
All bus bookings are managed through Glasshouse Country Coaches. Families can arrange bookings by contacting them directly on (07) 5496 9249. A bus levy is charged each term and is based on the distance travelled.
For student safety, children will only be released from the bus to a parent or guardian unless Glasshouse Country Coaches has received written permission from the parent or carer.
